Student Expectations

Adjusting Expectations

Whilst the Skills-Based Program is comprehensive in teaching the necessary skills for success in Section II, students should expect the following from the program:

  • Enrolment in this program makes no guarantees of achieving any specific scores in Section II.

  • Completion of the Skills-Based Program does not guarantee mastery/proficiency of introduced skills nor immediate success in Section II - it is expected that candidates continue to practice the introduced skills beyond the course itself.

  • The Program does not replace the need for consistent, self-regulated, and independent essay practice.

  • The Program does not replace the important role of self-motivation.

  • While The Program is one approach towards Section 2, it is NOT the only viable approach for success. Students MUST understand that they may be more successful with other approaches, depending on their writing style and individual disposition!
